Bookmans Mesa location is hosting a "science cafe" titled "The God Particle and Other Weirdness: A Conversation with Subir Sabharwal". As you may have surmised, the topic is quantum physics and the Higgs boson. It sounds interactive and fun; come ready to learn and participate!
The plan is to head to Pita Jungle immediately following for a late dinner. However, if the talk goes on past 9 that will be scrapped. Please be sure RSVP "Yes" to this meetup if you plan on attending dinner so I get an accurate count.
I hope to see you there!
From Bookmans site:
Science cafés are live—and lively—events that take place in casual settings such as pubs and coffeehouses, are open to everyone, and feature an engaging conversation with a scientist about a particular topic.
