Hello Photo Friends,
I was asked today what the upcoming themes would be for our space in City Hall where we have our Photography Gallery Shows. And since we have worked them out for the rest of 2013 - I figure I should share them with you all so you can be ready to submit your beautiful images on time.
As you know Sept was "Being Human". The Opening is this Thursday Night Sept 19th at 5pm. See info here for details: http://www.meetup.com/photo-22/events/140479332/
December Show Theme "Creative City" Opening Reception is Dec 6th to coincide with the City of Worcester's Festival of Lights. (don't know what the festival is like? check last years writeup http://www.worcestermass.org/calendar-of-events/festival-of-lights)
March's Show Theme is "Black and White" Opening Date of March 20th
June's Show Theme is "Abstractions" Opening Date of June 19th
These are the proposed days and times- all subject to change based on space availability- but hopefully this will get your curiosity going and submissions in on time!
I am currently looking for volunteers to help me this process. This means one or all of these aspects; sorting submissions, working with jurors, taking down frames, helping at the framing parties, and also with hanging the shows. I could use help with PR as well. Can we form a team? Maybe a group of 3-4 folks?
Scott and I have been doing these shows for 3 years now and I am ready to retire after this round. I won't lie- its a lot of work, but the feedback is great and when an image sells- it's wonderful.

Email, call, or chat with me at Meetup- if you are interested in helping out on this adventure. If no one steps up, I'll inform the folks at city hall the space should go to someone else...and we'll be sad.
