Alviso, Monday evening. We will find different locations in town instead of in the Marina. Park on the street.

This is super late, but I lost my Canon battery charger (LC-EP5 for Rebel XSi, XS, etc.), and I think I most likely lost it at the last strobist meetup. If you find it by any chance, please do let me know. Thank you!

Another meetup Tuesday.

I have been slammed busy with work this week, and have JUST finally found time to work on the photos from this session. I hope to post them tomorrow. I have to work this weekend, which involves driving 4 hours on Friday and then again to get home late on Sunday, so I don't know if I can setup another strobist practice session next week or not. If someone else wants to setup a session (Michael, do you want to play with your big lights), please do!

You don't need any gear to attend, though it is assumed that you have watched the intro videos at strobist.com. If you want to bring your gear, that is fine, but it is not required.
Unfortunately, I ended up not being able to make it. Does anyone have any photos to share from the meetup?
Having been reading about Strobist online for quite some time now. It was nice to see it in action.

Are we meeting anywhere on "hope st" ..?
If you have a reflector, please bring it. It can be used both to help reflect light (sun or strobe) or to help block light (e.g. block out the sun, or flag off part of the strobe light so it only lights a specific part of the subject).
Last week we went until about 8:30 pm. Don't worry if you can't get here "on time" - come when you can, join in!
I will setup in front of one of the closed buildings around 5 pm, so just look for the lady with all the camera and lighting gear. We take turns modeling, and assisiting (holding reflectors, moving lights, etc.). Look at the photo gallery for last week's practice to get a feeling for the types of photos we will take. We also shoot lighting setup photos that show all the lights, so you can see where we placed the lights, to help with understanding the lighting parameters.
I've had a lot of questions about what this session will involve. I expect it will end up a lot like the session we did last Monday. I brought 2 light stands and umbrellas, 2 Canon 580 EXII speedlites, and a bunch of pocket wizards. If you have a cable that connects a pocket wizard to a flash, we can add more flashes, otherwise we can only use the flashes I have cables for. The extra pocket wizards go on cameras, so we can all take turns shooting.
Would somebody be willing to message me their phone #? I won't make it until about an hour later, and it'd be nice to call to find out where you all are. Thanks :).

can you say more what this entails, and what sort of gear we should have? This is right down the block from my office. I've got a Canon 480ex flash that I've never figured out how to use or put to good use.

I will bring my selection of flashes from the last one and a couple of sync cables too.

This is listed as suggested, but upcoming.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
