Hi Jeffery,

It's good to hear from you : )  Is it possible to rent some hours at my rental studio this month ?  The support would be most welcome.  Perhaps hosting a photographic art show at this space, featuring some of the best works done by your students at preveous workshops.  You could charge participants a modest fee, to cover the space rental, refreshments, and some additonal advertisements above and beyond the email blasts and postings.

Please let me know.

MAY 9 1-5PM Photographing Children, Friends and Family
register at Fee: $87.00
This 4-hour workshop teaches beginners and photo enthusiasts how to produce professional quality images of children, family and friends with consumer digital cameras. Sounds too good to be true? It's not! Jeffery Luhn's method is mostly about what to do in front of the camera; choosing a good angle, using window light, avoiding harsh sunlight, recognizing good locations in and around your home, controlling your subject, etc. Once you learn good lighting and where to find it, your automatic camera does the rest. After this class your approach will be totally different and your pictures will sparkle. It's not rocket science and best of all, it's fun!
About the teacher:

MAY 23 and 24 10AM-6PM Civil War Re-Enactment Photo Opportunity
This is a great place to shoot photos of people in costume. Just walk up and ask them if you can pose them! They are willing to work with you, especially if you tell them where the photos will be posted. Feel free to use my meetup album provided for that purpose.
If you've been looking for a chance to get interesting shots of people, this is a perfect opportunity to practice your outdoor portrait skills! Please send them photos if you promise to do so! There's an entrance and parking fee. Visit the Roaring Camp website for information, directions, etc.

MAY 30 1-5PM Portraiture Level 1
Register at Fee: $87.00
Description: No matter what type of camera you have, film, digital or video, this class teaches you how to use natural and artificial light to get professional quality portraits of individuals and groups. This simplified system is based upon the five basic lighting patterns used in Hollywood films and professional portrait studios. There's no experience necessary with this system because we start at the very beginning and use the auto exposure mode for the whole process. You'll learn about soft lighting, hard lighting, solving common problems, and making tough lighting situations work for you. Your people pictures will look totally different after this class! Handouts are included in the fee. Bring your camera to class.
