You won't get much in the way of sunrise in that location - tall
mountains to your east block the sunrise - if there's any sunrise light
at all (if you aren't totally fogged in, which is common on the coast at
sunrise). For sunrise you really need to be south/east of Natural
Bridges, and also lucky to get clear skies rather than fog. I *highly*
recommend checking with the cleardarksky.com site to see what the
expected sky coverage will be at dawn at a nearby star-viewing location
with similar climate/altitude. I have found this to be really helpful
for saving me from getting up 2 hours before dawn and driving to my
hopeful dawn photo location only to find the skies totally blank with
clouds or fog.

Tomorrow there's a major triathlon in Santa Cruz (the Big Kahuna). The
bike leg goes up the coast to Pigeon Point and back. You may find
traffic and parking on Hwy 1 to be difficult tomorrow morning.

Don't forget the pumpkin traffic on Hwy 1 and Hwy 92 this weekend - even
though the pumpkin festival was last weekend, traffic will still be high
this weekend as families head to HMB to buy pumpkins.

As for crime - many years ago I left my purse in a locked car to go out
for a picnic on the bluffs and came back to broken glass and a missing
purse. If you park in this area, do NOT leave anything valuable visible
(or visibly hidden, e.g. a pile of something with a towel or coat over
the top) in the car, and also don't PUT anything valuable in your trunk
as you park. (Someone in the distance might see you hiding your
valuables, then break in and open your trunk to steal your stuff.) This
is one of the places where it really helps to have a non-photographer
buddy who likes to sit and read who wouldn't mind sitting in or near
(within eyesight) of the car and spend a few hours reading a great book.
