This is a Behind The Scenes photo showing our light setup. On the right is a speedlight 580 with an umbrella, set at 1/4 power, as the fill. On the far left is another speedlight 580, bare, at 1/4 power, as the key light. Under Vixen's arm is another speedlight 580 with a red color gel on it, again at 1/4 power. All 3 have pocket wizards on them, and we had 2 transmitters so we could share the transmitters to others to take their own photos using the strobes. (Having an extra transmitter pocket wizard makes these strobist-style meetups work a lot easier!) The red light is aimed at the wall. Tori's arm is shadowing the spill from the key (which is otherwise washing out the red on the wall) and allowing the wall to show the full effect of the red backlight in the shadow of her arm. The photo I was setting up here is of Bond and the shadow, Vixen is not seen in this shot, just her shadow. We were shooting in full-shade in the late afternoon, using camera settings of ISO 200, 1/200 shutter speed, and f/8 to f/11 aperture. This mostly killed the ambient, as you can see by how dark everything is that isn't lit by a flash. The light stand behind Vixen was not used in this shot.
