This is the lighting setup for the final shots. On the far left is a Canon 580 II speedlite with a blue gel, raking across the bricks and providing a rim light on the subject/model (in this shot, that's Michael giving us his Hulk impression). We also put a light stand in front of the blue gel'd light, to give a shadow on the wall. On the far right is another Canon 580 II speedlite with a snoot, providing the key light on the subject. (Look for it in the white bricks going up the wall, to the right of the subject's shadow.) The camera was on a tripod, one of our group is standing by the tripod, seen just slightly to the left of the subject. Between the camera and the background light is a nikon flash with an orange gel, diffuser, and flag. We moved this light down low to elongate the subject's shadow, and used a flag to keep it from blowing out the interesting blue light on the background to the left of the subject. We added a diffuser to soften the edges of the shadow.
