Let's meet our old friends at the Crossroads Cafe for a nibble and sip after work!
We'll talk about our Photographic New Adventures while looking at each other's work.
As this venue is a bit loud, don't expect a "talk" or "speech" or "shoot"; but rather to chat, mingle, review one another work and discuss our photo opportunities.
This is a Public Meetup - Images brought and shared should be of a public nature!
IE: publishable on a Billboard in the US. Nothing beyond an R Rating should be presented at our group meetings, please. If you would like to share stronger images, please vet your viewer and do so outside of the SF Photography Meetup Group.
Our Meetup is NOT intended to be a place for Marketing or Business Promotion, but rather a gathering of like minds to discuss the Art and Technology of photography. Folks are welcome to leave literature or fliers regarding upcoming events or services offered on the sign-up table and answer questions only. Presentations or other sales/marketing should be set up at least one week in advance though the meeting host. This will encourage continued comradery and discourage aggressive marketing at future meetups, ensuring a collaborative environment for all. Thanks.
Please bring your book(s), your portfolio, pictures or new toy/gadget to share with the group.
Bring an image that inspires you...
An image that you really want to make...
Maybe you don't know how, or need someone to go with you to hold a reflector or light.
If you want to know how someone made their awesome photo now's your chance to find out.
Don't have a book yet? Bring a Print!
Come be inspired to build a portfolio, see what others have done and learn how you can build your own!
Don't have a Print?
Bring and image (magazine or book, printed off the web?) that inspires you - one that you'd want to make!
digitalShe's directions to Crossroads Cafe, here:
Cafe in a bookstore at the End of Delancy Street, note, there is generally parking - though now you're gonna pay for it all evening.
Delancy is crossed by Brannan and just off the Embarcadero.
From S Bay: Exit 280 at 6th St, follow 6th two blocks and turn right on Brannan St. Keep driving, it's a long ways... Delancy is the last street on the Right from the Embarcadero.
From E Bay: Exit @ 5th St and turn LEFT onto 5th. Follow for two bocks and turn Left at Brannan St, follow to Delancy Street and turn Right.
Muni: Take the N-Juda or the T/K link.
Exit @ The Embarcadero & Brannan St Station, walk south toward the AT&T Park and look for a Cafe called "Towns End" in neon... Crossroads is the little grassy gated area directly across from this cafe... look for the small bookstore at the end of the block in the cul-de-sac, that's the cafe!
BTW - Be sure to say "Hey, Thanks!" to the staff that let us hang out!
Plan to grab a bite here! Crossroads has light snacks, dinners and deserts along with assorted beverages. A nice place to relax and mull over this photo stuff with other chill folks...
