An Audience with Jonetsu –Q&A with Vancouver’s top Wedding Photography Team!

Update, March 21st - This presentation will be at the Vancouver English Center as they have a great room for a Q&A. And this session is not really only about wedding photography, its about both general business and high end photography shooting techniques. Please RSVP today and come!

Also, all attendees will be invited to a model shoot (male and female models) in April to try out some of the things they talk about. You don't want to miss it.

This event, "An Audience with Jonetsu – Q&A with Vancouver’s top Wedding Photography Team" is a very special presentation by Chad and Camille Bensler, who hold the title of Canon's Northern Explorers of Light and are better known as the massively successful wedding photography team, Jonetsu.

They have recently been giving presentations throughout Canada and the United States and we are very lucky to have them agree to host an open ended question and answer (Q&A session) with the Vancouver Photography and Creative Photography groups.

Details below.

Question for you, who won the award for Best Overall Wedding Photography at the BC Wedding Awards last year?

And which company is known as one of the Best Wedding Photographers, not just in Vancouver, but in Canada?

The answer is Jonetsu Studios!

Known for their stunning wedding photography work, they average $10,000 to $20,000 per wedding and they also shoot a variety of other photography, from portrait, family, and engagements and have a lot of high level insights to share on both the technical aspects, and perhaps more importantly, the business side of photography.

Please join them in this very special occasion where Chad and Camille wick from Jonetsu will to hold an open, ask-any-question, Question and Answer session about their style of photography.

When you come meet them in the afternoon of March 23rd, you'll discover:

• How do you find interesting locations to shoot in?
• What makes your photographic eye so unique?
• How do you work with customers to keep them coming back for more?
• How do you deal with difficult (low) lighting situations?
• How do you find wedding clients?
• How do you get to $10,000 per wedding?
• and more! Send your questions in advance to Ronald Lee.

I've asked them not to bother preparing a formal presentation/slide show (although we may have the computer and projector there regardless) as I'd rather we fill the time be asking questions that we've been wondering and struggling with on how to make a photography business.

It was a fabulous presentation. Chad and Camille are so open and generous with their information; and their approach to things/mindset shows why they are at the top of their business.

Chad and Camille were knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. However, because of the 'open' nature of the Q&A, some people didn't get the opportunity to ask their questions. Several important questions were addressed near the end, but the responses felt rushed. Suggestion if a session like this were to be planned again: ask for burning questions to be sent to the organizer two days ahead of the scheduled session. The organizer could email the questions to the team, who would then be able to structure their session in such as way that the interests of all attendees were considered equally. Having said that, I certainly learned quite a bit about wedding photography today!

It was awesome!! Had a lot of good feedback on what it is to be a wedding photographer and felt like they were very willing to answer any kind of questions. I could really feel the support! Thank you Camille and Chadwick

Thanks for the update, Ronald. Payment: cash? debit? credit? Also, assume we will NOT need cameras Sunday...

Hi Judy, cash please as that is easiest on location. And, unless you have technical questions with your camera you want solved, then no need to bring your cameras as there isn't any shooting that day.

The followup large outdoor model photoshoot is scheduled for April 20th just for those who attend Sunday's talk, FYI.

More details about this Sunday's photographic talk are forthcoming. Want to reiterate that this session is not really only about wedding photography, its about both general business and high end photography shooting techniques. Its going to be a very informative and engaging conversation as Chad and Camille are both great speakers, dynamic, engaging, generous with their information and know what they are talking about. Please RSVP for the event!

Yes, the talk by Chad and Camille will be very interesting from both a shooting perspective as well as a business perspective. They are great photographers and don't just shoot weddings, they do portraits, families, etc... It will be an awesome Q&A, even if you are just curious.
