    No, there are 'Whitcomb' cherries out everywhere now, and 'Accolade' coming soon. 'Okame' are out, but they're pretty rare and usually diseased - hard to get a good photo. The VCBF website has cultivar descriptions under Education. Cherries never have flowers growing singly off the branch. They are always in some sort of bunch. Most plums, when you look up close, have stems that stick straight out from the branch and each little pedicel (stem) has its own bract at the base of the stem. Anyway, you didn't say they were cherries, did you? Plums are nice. In many ways, they're more photogenic.
