Cherokee Street

Lots of restaurants, specialty stores, and interesting architecture. Plenty of street scenes and interesting people wandering around as a bonus.

Shoot Scoop:  Let's meet at The Mud House (Cherokee & Illinois streets) and start our walking adventure there.  The link below will give directions and insight on what you can expect for parking and urban sights.  If you're photographing the Cakeway to St. Louis, you'll find that as well.

Update:  Cinco de Mayo celebration is also taking place on Cherokee Street on May 3.  To avoid parking chaos, I'm bumping the time back to 9:00 a.m.

So sorry that I could not make it today! I would like to hang out & shoot with the group again now that we made it through that horrid winter. Hope we can do this location again soon - bet there will be a lot of good shots come out of this one.

Just saw that the Cinco de Mayo parade will be going on that morning, starting at 11:11. That should make for even better photo opportunities. I will probably get there a bit early.

I just clicked on the cincodemayo web site (posted above) and saw that the parade begins at 1:11 (as opposed to 11:11), but events begin at 11am. I still plan to get there around 9, since I'm interested in street scenes, pre-parade. I thought I'd mention it for those most interested in the parade.

I saw that today too Anne, though just yesterday it was showing 11:11. I'm still getting there early too just because parking is going to be a nightmare the later you show up.

My original comment did not post, so here it is again....I'd like to go to this Meetup, but I'll be shooting a race that morning. Also, the Blue Angels Meetup is taking place this same morning.

I see, now, that my original comment did post! Some strange things have been happening with this site the past 2 days.

Hopefully, I can make it the next time. I'll be at the air show pretty much all day for the next 3 days.

This would be a great meetup to attend but my work schedule dictates otherwise. Have fun!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
