Evening walk in the Loop

There's always something interesting going on in the Delmar Loop, so grab your camera and tripod and come take a cool summer's eve walk with Edward and friends! Park at my place (858 Hodiamont) and we'll have a short walk down to the Delmar Station, where the entire loop, with all of its fascinating shops and venues, will lie at our feet, just begging for photos. A good break from a long day's work, and there are plenty of spots for a spot of something refreshing!

Sorry I couldn't make it. The photos being posted are awesome. Is love to have print of a few of them to frame. Excellent shots. I will definitely make the next event.

This was such a nice evening. Lots of picture taking and great food at Blueberry Hill. We need to do this again before it gets too hot!

I stated the night out by getting a pint with Chris before heading out into the wild blue yonder :-)

I'm glad the weather cooperated for those who went. I'm also glad I decided to go home since, when I got here I found that Lake Saint Louis had received 2" of rain in a short time....too short for my patio to drain, so a lot of water came through my patio door into my family room. :-( I spent 2 hours with a Shop Vac getting 12+ gallons of water out of my carpet. It's still damp this morning, but it'll have to wait until this evening before I can do anything else with it.

Sorry to hear this Bob, I live in Lake Saint Louis also, and the drainage ditch next to my house overflowed like I've never seen before, but did not get in my house at least. I was thinking we got more than 2" but don't really know. I hope you are able to get things back in order quickly!

    • Bob K.

Thanks, Christy. It may have even rained too fast for my electronic rain gauge to keep up. ;-)

I am not feeling good about the possibility of being out in the rain tonight so will pass. Darn. Ed, I hope you do this again soon - got some good shots last time we went to the loop at night.

    June 10

  • Martha R.

It's still raining in Brentwood. I don't think I am going to go. The rain is pretty consistent.

    June 10

  • Myron B.

Hope everyone that is still going have a great shoot. It is still raining out here in Baldwin so I think that's a wrap for me. Unless something happens and the rain stops. But I won't have time to meet up with the group at Ed's studio.

  • Bob K.

I've done a shoot in a downpour before and I think I'll pass this evening.

I'm starting to reconsider. The map looks very rainy. We had heavy rain here, but better now. It's headed for St. Louis.

Does anyone wish to borrow my tree pruning tool in case the tripod isn't drawing enough lightning? It reaches to 20 ft.

I am going to park at the Pagent Back parking lots so if it rains, I will not have to walk to far from the Loop to get to my car-I will see you all there at the Loop- Unless it rains by 7 pm-

    June 10

    • Janis S.

That sounds like a very good idea Martha. I may do the same thing. Is that parking garage across from the movie theatre a free or paid garage - does anyone know?

      June 10

    • Bob K.

I don't know if the garage is free. I know the parking lots behind Fitz's and QDoba are free.

I will park behind Cicero's in the Loop parking myself. Will run into you all in due course.
