Just to let y'all know... If you are heading west on I-44, take the exit for Route 100/Gray Summit, take a left onto 100, cross back over I-44, take the right, and you'll see the entrance to the Shaw Nature Reserve on your left within 50 yards. Just inside the entrance is the Visitor's Center.

Meeting at the front entrance and the visitor center is probably best for those who have not been there before. The Reserve opens at 7:00 am, and the lighting is great from then until 10:00 or 11:00 am. I will aim at being there around 7:00 to photograph sunrise, which ought to be spectacular around the lake, just down from the front entrance. I will see everyone at the visitor's center at 9:00.

Reserve is right at highway 44 and Gray Summit overpass. Free admission if you are a member of the Missouri Botanical Garden. As soon as you enter the reserve, there is a visitor center to the right where you pay the entrance fee. There is some parking right there to meet. However, we eventually driver further in and start our walk near the Bascom house and fishing pond.

Where exactly are we meeting at in the reserve? I've never been there so I'm not familiar with the place.

Elaine and I plan to be there. We were there in the spring of 2011 to try out my Canon 7D. https://picasaweb.google.com/paul.konopacki/20110417ShawNatureReserveGraySummitMO#

I would Love to come to this meet-up. I've been meaning to get back there for Fall colors. If any lady could give me a ride from the south grand area, it would be awesome!
