Gear Talk - f2

Fast lenses are defined by yours truly as those with a maximum aperture of f2 or greater - and there are some good ones to choose from! Come see a short presentation on what fast prime lenses (fixed focal length) can do for you and then experiment with them. Satisfaction guaranteed!

I enjoyed the Meetup tonight. It was nice getting your hands on some of these "fast" lenses to see what they do and how well they perform. I did really like the slideshow Ed put on beforehand....great work, showing what happens as the lens aperture changes!

It was great being able to try out the various lenses that someone was interested in. It really helped put things into perspective for me, and making my next purchase decision.

      Mel, I'll have the 28 f1.8, but I currently don't have the 100 f2 for testing.

Will there be time for adv topics: obtaining sharpest focus with very narrow DOF, micro focus adjust each lens on each body, focus point choice vs parallax of focus/recompose, shoot continuous, manual vs auto focus, installing focus screens, other ideas? I can bring Canon 28/1.8, 50/1.4 and 85/1.8.
