Sure beats the longevity of floppy disks, but will anyone be able to read these a million years from now? Not many 3 1/2", 5 1/4" or 8" drives around anymore.

and what file formats will be readable? jpg seems very common now, but some files from 10 or 20 years ago (does anyone remember wordperfect?) are basically unreadable.
the most archival (in terms of future accessibility) format for photos is prints...

My question is, "How has this claim been proven?" Do they have one from a million years ago that is readable today? (in any format?) I don't think so.
