Please give some information on why you want to join the Paris Photography group and what equipment you use.

My gear (Nikon D300) has been collecting too much dust, and I scheme at least a couple of times weekly about ways to create more time for photography. Plus I'd like to discuss with more experienced photographers about certain techniques that I can't seem to master. And a glass or two in a nice café with like-minded people is almost always good.

Grew up in the US and left at 22 to see the world. I've been in this beautiful city since 2001, speak French poorly, work by day for a telecoms software company.

What Tim is saying about this Meetup Group

Everyone is very friendly and relaxed. It's what I thought it would be. It takes some effort to get into the cliquishness of it, which is not a bad thing and entirely normal, and there was certainly no one there intentionally cliquish. Quite a few people know already each other; like anything else, the more outgoing and charismatic you are - being younger than 40 probably would hurt either - the more you may get out of it. But I'll certainly be back.
