Self Critique: Strongest - all the different layers of circles; different textures, edges, and the relfection of the docks. Distraction - would it look better if the circles were more concentric?

Strongest element: the shapes in the photo are good. I do like the concentric circles. I like how the horizon has been twisted into a circular shape in the reflection. The most distracting element for me are the two iron bars that are not in focus, but are still pulling the eye downward away from the main subject of the photo.

I agree with Carmel. I put my hands up to crop out the iron bars, and it is an altogether different image.

Strength- concept. very cool. Distracting: Yes the concentricity is lacking, but I also feel like there's too much context. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I think a square frame could clean this up nicely. Also- the bugs. They're horrific, and that's quite a bit of time in the 'shop, but well worth it for such a cool idea! Perhaps reshoot with some windex? LOL! Could be a lot less time than the PSing.

Strength: I'm prejudiced because I know the reflection was a happy accident. I actually like the cropping, although perfect concentric circles would mimck the Torpedo Factories logo. Distracting:I wish something showed on the left, besdies blue, to balance with the buidling on the right, but that might make it to symmetrical.
