The interplay of many different circles is interesting. The bokeh, however, is distracting -- less blur might make this more appealing. I am curious, what lens are you using?

Strength- what a lil cutiepants!!! (look at his little foot hanging off one side!) Beautiful toning. Really feels like winter in this shot just from the light. I like the nature against the man made- always a good juxtaposition in my book. Distracting- lifting this little guy up a bit into that right corner rule-of-thirds-criss-cross point would have allowed the circles of the metal object to breathe, and minimized the pattern of the background. I like the texture of the background, but it is just too much of it- something easily remedied with a stronger composition.

I agree with Carly - show more of the standpipe; it's disconcerting how it's cut off. I bet this is the frame straight from the camera though, right? I do this all the time! :( I was telling Pat that I've learned to back off and include a little more in the frame; you can always crop stuff out.

I just want to hug that little bird! I agree with everyone's comments.
