First, I would like to thank Jim Binegar, Master Photographer Craftsman, for speaking at the February meeting -Great event and a Photo SA record setter: we had 56 in attendance! This is the most at any regular meeting ever!
Now to introduce to you the March speaker:
Compared to the February speaker, Jim Binegar, our March speaker is a newbie! Kate Roy may be relatively new to photography, but she is talented, driven, tireless, and friendly, and just like all the Photo SA speakers, she loves to share what she knows with others. She has the energy and drive of five people who are at their best and just being around her will motivate you to be your best!
In her own words, here is what Kate told me about her presentation: "I will discus how to create conceptual and fine art photography using any dslr camera and items found in anyone's home. During my presentation I will include a demonstration on how to create levitation photos. This is one of my most requested tutorials and also one of the easiest to do and edit in photoshop. No fancy props required!
I will also cover how to:
• quickly and easily extend fabric to create a stunning fine art portrait.
• brainstorm and think outside of the box to challenge ourselves to be more creative.
• storyboard, the process I use for my fine art sessions before ever picking up the camera.
The demonstration will include a live edit.
Special gift to all in attendance:
I would like to offer my Snap Chic Photography overlay & texture pack for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, that I use in many of my fine art pieces free to everyone who attends; a $50 value.
