High Knob Overlook
UPDATE: The moon will set at 10:49pm. Though, only 8% is showing. That might be interesting to get a small sliver in the sky as well.
Shooting stars needs to be in a very dark place. We will travel 3.5 hours from Philly to a scenic overlook that has some of the darkest skies around. This will be a late night event on a new moon.
Some of us will be booking hotel rooms to be able to stay out for a while shooting the stars and galaxies. I might bring my RV. We will meet at the studio and travel/carpool to the area. Bring your wide angle lens and your tripod. Or, even better, rent a bright wide prime (e.g. 24mm f1.4) for this event.
