A Longwood Christmas

Their website has this page on their Christmas event - http://longwoodgardens.org/events-and-performances/events/longwood-christmas. I've been there for this event in the past and it is spectacular.

Tickets need to be purchased online in advance for this.

I would be surprised if anyone made it. Padma, Yuko and myself gave up after making only 6 miles in one hour...

Due to the fact that my pics aren't event related, I'm posting them on our Facebook and Google+ pages...

Hey everyone. Didn't make it either. Called Longwood Gardens to inquire if I can use my ticket next week instead (at 3:30). I talked to someone in central ticketing, and she changed my reservation. I would not wait too long to do this, because they limit the number of people as it is.

Great advice Denise, I would strongly recommend that non-members do the same if you purchased a ticket for tonight's event.

Hi - I sent out a message earlier but do not see it posted here. Diane Grant and I will not be able to attend this shoot. We did not feel comfortable about traveling home in the dark in bad weather. Hope you all stay safe and have fun. Jane Bush

This quote was taken from their website: Monopod/tripod/easel use by amateur photographers and artists is permitted outside in the Gardens any time with the exception of specially ticketed events (Fireworks, Concerts, etc.) and at the discretion of the Manager on Duty.

    December 2, 2013

  • Colleen S.

No tripods allowed unless you are a member and you hve a permit to have one. Because of the high volumn of people.

    November 22, 2013

    • Capn S.

I'll be using the tripod outside as well...

      December 2, 2013

    • Donna K

Rene is correct that you do not have to be a member to use a tripod inside the conservatory between the hours of 9:00AM and 12 noon. You do need to sign a form and they give you a tag for your tripod. You can usually shoot outdoors with a tripod, however, the last fireworks show, and I'm sure they'll do that for any of their shows, you are not allowed to use a tripod due to the volume of people. Then it's considered a safety hazard.

I just realized that I cannot attend this. I have 1 senior ticket for sale for $20 for anyone who may need one.

    November 24, 2013

  • Elizabeth

I am a member and I have a tripod permit and a tag. Despite this there are some displays that do not allow the tripods no matter what but I don't know if this event is one that does not permit it.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
