To study and Talk about Members Photographs
This group is dedicated to the art of correctly capturing and presenting what we see and feel. What we photograph is not as important as how we capture it and present it for viewing. It is not about what we have in our camera bag, but rather our unique way of seeing and capturing what inspires and moves us. Something amazing incorrectly captured is nearly worthless; the web is filled with such work.
We meet bi-weekly to share our images and get feedback from other members. This is a discussion group where all are invited to comment on the photographic works of members.
We will explore questions such as:
- Does the image hold together technically?
- Does the image have interest or impact?
- Does the image succeed as the creator wanted?
Important: This is not a photography class (though we will talk about techniques). If you are a beginner photographer, taking a beginning class in photography is highly recommended. The Art Center offers several beginning and intermediate photography and image manipulation courses as well as the organizer, Steve, teaches individual sessions.
Steve (the organizer) brings a wealth of experience from 30+ years of teaching and operating a professional photography studio. He is also the recipient of a number of awards and merits at state and national levels.
