Are you tired of only learning all the technical aspects of photography?  Would you like to have a place to practice all that you have learned about photography? Would you like to receive feedback from others and exchange photo ideas with others?

Join us in beautiful Downtown Raleigh to learn and network for a new workshop, about practicing your manual photography skills!

Topics include:

- Fundamental exposure variables — aperture, shutter speed, and ISO

- Using apertures and f-stops to control depth of field

- Using shutter speeds to control motion effects

- Subject Composition

- Putting theory into practice …

- Practical exercises involving aperture, shutter speed, ISO

- Review of images created during practical sessions

The session is scheduled for 2 + hours. We will meet and discuss manual photography and what you are interested in improving. We will provide your learning assignments to complete for the evening. We will network and ask questions or provide suggestions to improve our works. Everyone will upload their pics to this meetup location so that we can receive suggestions and provide feedback to assist in improving our photography skills.

Workshop Requirements:   Each participant is expected to bring a digital camera with a fully charged battery and memory card(s). Because of the many styles and varieties of cameras on the market, participants with specific questions related to the operation of their camera should bring along the user manual for reference to their specific model’s features.

I have no experience in professional photography. Love to learn. Not sure if this is the right group.

Hi Lisa ~ My name is Jim and I am the new organizer for this group. I am sorry to hear about your no refund situation. While I can't speak to refunding your money regarding an other organizer's meetup, I can tell you that in the highly unlikely event that I am a now show as an organizer or can't provide an organizer that adds similar value to a scheuduled meetup, your money would have been refunded.

I hope that you can see past this unfortunate situation and in the spirit of good business, I'd be happy to waive your membership dues for this year and offer you a free pass for a meetup valued at 25 dollars or less.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
