I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but lately it's been a trun off for me that so many of our meetups are asking for money. What was once a great fun concept where people could get together, socialize, learn and share freely, is now becoming a for profit business. Of course, there's times when contribution is necessary to cover costs, but it seems to be evolving into a for-profit enterprise and I didn't think that was what meet-up was intended for. Annual dues are reasonable and appropiate, but charging for most meet ups changes things. Just my humble opinion.

I really do welcome your feedback and I would never think that your intention was anything other than trying to keep the original spirit of why we both got into meetups in the first place alive. :-) There is a cost to doing every meetup and as much as I would like to say this is a labor of love, the profit motive keeps me interested in providing both free meetups, old skool if you will, and affordable workshops and instructional meetups.

Hi Stephanie ~ I am not sure if you noticed, but I moved this particular meetup to North Raleigh. I know it's not super close to Knightdale, but it's closer than Hillsborough. :-) Maybe I'll see you there. Have a great week. ~ Jim

    Hey Jim,

Very interested but depends on how my week will be set up.

I'll watch the numbers and if I can be part of the six max, I'll let
you know and you can let me know how to proceed from that point.

    Thanks, D

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
