Performance Shoot: Carl Hancock Rux “How Race and Ethnicity Influence (My) Art”

Carl Hancock Rux is an award winning, multi-talented artist, writer and performer. Please read carefully, as the date is less than a week away and the possibility for a private PhotoQuest101 shoot before or after the lecture and/or show are still in the planning stages with Zoellner Center for the Performing Arts and Carl Hancock Rux's agent.
Click to Preview CARL HANCOCK RUX on YouTube and you WILL want to participate in this exciting program.

Limitations and restrictions are certain to be imposed.
I do not yet know what they are.
We may also be granted a special photo session

Diamond Theater • Free; no tickets required

Carl Hancock Rux crosses the disciplines of poetry, theater, music, and literary fiction in order to achieve what one critic describes as a “dizzying oral artistry...unleashing a torrent of paper bag poetry and post modern Hip-Bop music; the ritualistic blues of self awakening.” A published poet, playwright, novelist and essayist, Rux is the author of several books including his first poetry collection, Pagan Operetta, for which he received the Village Voice Literary Prize; the Obie Award-winning play Talk; the novel Asphalt; and the 2007 opera, The Blackamoor Angel.

He heads the Writing for Performance program at the California Institute of the Arts, and is a curator and consultant for the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, where he is developing Macandal with Daniel Bernard Roumain and Edouard Duval-Carrié.

I will not be imposing a meetup fee for this event, but any donations will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged in order to facilitate and expedite new and exciting Photo Opportunities!
