Good morning. Started using photoshop back in version 7 after learning about the color changing effects that were used on a pair of Air Jordan sneakers.
I was given a copy of version 7 and have been hooked every since. I am the CEO of 1TrickPony and I use photoshop for photo manipulation and for photo restoration. I am big on family history and what better way to so than the preservation of family photos and taking a memory and turning it into magic.
I try to use it daily as there is so many powerful tools and there is always something to learn.
Currently running CS3 contemplating moving up to CS4.

Hello, my name is Brian Dorn, and I am a doctoral student in Computer
Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. As a part of my
research, I am conducting a study of the practices of professionals and
other users engaged in digital image manipulation as part of their daily
activities. Specifically, I am interested in meeting with people in the
Atlanta area who use Adobe Photoshop extensively and who also have
experience with scripting and/or programming (e.g., JavaScript, PHP,
Python). The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of what
such users currently know about computing and how they learned it.

As a participant you will complete a short demographic survey and take
part in a face-to-face interview about your use of Photoshop and
familiarity with programming concepts. Completing the survey and
interview should take no more than 90 minutes and can be scheduled at
your convenience. Participants will receive a $15 gift card as
compensation for participating in the interview.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please
contact me by sending an email to [address removed]. After
volunteering, you will receive a short email survey about your
background which will be used in selecting interview participants.
