This month's retouch meet up is less than a week away and it looks to be the best so far (since we merged groups).....
We are doing a really cool meeting this month - we have two specific photos (chosen by me) that are straight out of camera. Everyone should pick one or both of the images and touch it up the best you can (it doesn't matter what you skill level is - this is all about learning). Once you have done your touchups, save the file and bring it with you on a flash drive or CF/SD card. If working in Photoshop - don't flatten the image - save it as a .psd file so we can go through the layers and see what you have done.
We will take a few volunteers for each picture and let them walk us through what they did to the image. Nothing is off the table - color correction, teeth whitening, skin retouching, stray hairs, cropping - whatever you feel like you would do to the image as an artist. I am sure we will see a lot of variations and get a chance to learn a few tricks from each other. If you are planning to attend - email me at [address removed] and I will email you the files.
We are also having Italian food night - and will have food, wine, beer and snacks. I am sure it will be amazing. Social hour starts at 6pm.
Meetup group starts at 7pm and we will be meeting downstairs in the white cyc wall this month to project onto the wall.
The meeting is at 509 North Garrison in Midtown St Louis (near St Louis University, The Fountain on Locust and Pappy's BBQ) - it is easy to get to - we are in the 3000 block of Locust on a one way street that runs between Washington and Locust. Drop me a quick line to let me know if you are coming, so we can plan for tables, chairs, etc.
See you next Tuesday and don't forget to email me to get the files.
Please Note: If you hit "REPLY", your message will be sent to everyone on this mailing list ([address removed])
