Thursday, Sept. 24 is the date of the first Fall meeting of the InDesign Users Group, a group I have long belonged to,  and which I highly recommend. 2.  Digital projector and screen: will we have one?

3.  Subject matter: everybody will likely have many questions on a broad range of issues. To allow a fair apportionment of time and avoid rambling questions, we might ask attendees to bring questions written out on an index card.

4. Invite expert speakers:  Perhaps you know of Noble Desktop; If not, you should. They run a school in SoHo, offering intensive, small-size classes on graphics-related apps, including Photoshop. They also offer excellent free seminars, many of which I have attended, without, incidentally, encountering the  slightest  pressure  to join a paid class.
Thinking they might be willing to send us an instructor to give an hour-long presentation on some aspect of Photoshop of our choosing (for, I hoped, a modest fee) I phoned them the other day and spoke to Scott Carson, Founder and  Senior Class Developer. He said they could, and when I asked about their fee, he said there would be no charge. This is something we could vote to try for our second meeting.

I'll take a waiting list at that point- the space holds more but we have 50 seats for now. I am very interested in getting feedback and ideas from members...you'll see; I have some really cool ideas for presentations etc.
