DRUPAL: Columbus PHP Meetup August Meetup

Nathan Rambeck of Rambeck Group will be presenting an overview of Drupal, a popular open-source content management system. Drupal powers thousands of sites across the internet from small brochure sites to highly complex sites for companies like MTV, IBM and Sony. The presentation will be about an hour long with time for Q&A and general discussion afterwords. Below is a list of topics that will be discussed:

* Content Types
* Blocks (displaying secondary content in various regions on your site)
* Users, Roles and Permissions
* Taxonomy (flexible way of categorizing and displaying all your content into groups)
* URL aliases (create a custom url for any page)
* Menus and Navigation
* Theming (a general overview)
* Modules (how modules work and the must-have ones for any project)

There are areas available for parking in the area. The closest are marked as green areas on the map. The parking lot directly opposite the building on Chestnut is free after 6:00, but due to the bar directly adjoining, it can get pretty full. The meters on the street are free after 6:00 as well.

The other areas for parking are all pay to park.
