Charles,

"then I will need to hire someone to set up the initial site in a manner such that I can manage it in the foreseeable future."

The line above essentially summarizes the case for most CMS systems. You will essentially hire someone to develop the "template", or look, of the site and get what features you want up and running.  .From there adding/editing content should be easy.  Adding features, etc. can be done by you though it often is best to consult with someone knowledgeble about the CMS you chose before you add too many features on your own as things can conflict with one another.

Group,

I initially designed my Work website in MS Publisher, but I am now seriously considering using a Web Content Management System (WCMS) instead.  From what I understand, a WCMS allows non-technical users to make changes to an existing website with little or no training. (Does that sound right?)  I am NOT a programmer and would prefer such a tool for non-technical Web administrators like myself.

If I understand WCMS correctly, then I will need to hire someone to set up the initial site in a manner such that I can manage it in the foreseeable future.  Many such systems have been recommended to me, and a list of free and open-source CMS software can be found here:

and here:

I would very much appreciate your recommendations.  Further, please forward me contact information if you or your colleague(s) have used any of the WCMS that you recommend.
