It takes an incredibly talented person to give a lecture that informs, entertains, and appeals to such a diversely informed audience. The presentation material was also elaborate and outstanding. I've enjoyed relaying my notes to family and friends today and they all wish they had come along. The telescope viewing at the observatory afterwards was also quite fun. The meetup description could've used some editing though!

Hi.. I'm outside the observatory. It says building 4000, I'm not able to find 5000. Can someone direct me?

I love astronomy and this sounds like a great talk! But I am car-less at the moment.
Is anyone driving down from Oakland area? I'd be happy
to share gas costs, etc. -r

Would be nice to learn a little bit about laser guide stars and see a little bit of the observatory.
