Well, the response to the Geminid meetup has been underwhelming.

I am still very interested, so if anyone out there wants to go, let me know. Call (415)[masked] or write [address removed].

I still don't have an actual location. My plan is to drive somewhere to the east; perhaps the Oakland/Berkeley hills, or perhaps as far as Mt. Diablo.

Also there is a mid-peninsula astronomy group called TAC (I think it stands for The Astronomy Club, or something like that). It's not a meetup group, but I think some folks from that group may be organizing some kind of get-together.

AND, coming soon, to a dark hillside near you is: A Total Lunar Eclipse!! I will send out meetup info as soon as I can.
