New Meetup: Tour at SLAC

From: Elise
Sent on: Friday, December 17, 2010 9:57 AM
Announcing a new Meetup for Bay Area Physics and Astronomy Society!

What: Tour at SLAC

When: Friday, January 21,[masked]:30 PM

Where: SLAC public tour
2575 Sand Hill Road
Menlo Park , CA 94025

Today is the sign-up day for the Tours at SLAC.

I'm posting the other available time for January, since SLAC tours do fill up so fast... I won't be signing up for this one though, since I plan on being there on January 4th

There are two sign-up times (1:30pm and 3:30pm), please choose which time works best for you and say which tour you'll be going on in your RSVP.

Please be sure to sign up at the official SLAC sign-up site. You won't be able to go on the tour unless they have your name down for that date and time.

Please note: We won't be able to really go as a group per se, since spaces are filling up so fast. I'm only putting this on the calendar, so people are aware of it and have a chance to sign up for the tour, if they can get in fast enough! For those of us who are able to go at the same time, we can meet up there.

Tours at SLAC
Each tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes a visit to the lab's 2-mile linear accelerator. Please see the Tours FAQ for more detail.

SLAC's tours are open to all visitors 12 years of age and above. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Student groups affiliated with an educational institution should visit our School Groups information page for specifics.

We hope to see you at SLAC soon!
