Message to the troops

Dear Bay Ridge FC members,
On Saturday September 18th there was an unfortunate and hitherto unprecedented (for our group) incident on the field as 2 members (on the same team) took it upon themselves to ruin everyone else's fun and, even after many attempts by the rest of us to dissuade them and keep them apart, engaged in a physical confrontation. They had been warned, before it came to blows, to leave and not fight. Since they did not heed the sensible warning to leave they were equally responsible for what ensued. Both members were instantly banned.
In July of 2008, before we had the large membership we enjoy today Brent and Quest founded the Bay Ridge FC MeetUp group with a simple idea in mind. To play for the love of the game and to foster an environment where players treat one-another with respect. We have had and will continue to have many fun and spirited games. No doubt at times tempers will get a little heated; we all have passion for the game. Nonetheless there are lines that cannot be crossed. This kind of incidedent has never happened before and we hope will never happen again. Such conduct is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Lets hope we don't have to deal with this kind of crap ever again.
