PCC #101: "Secrets of Executives: How to Argue and Win"
by Gil Chavez
This month I am back as guest MC and organizer while Eric is away getting settled into his new job. I'm pleased to announce that we will have Gil Chavez, a well-known professor, consultant, and executive coach presenting at this month's event on a topic that I am very excited about - "How to Argue and Win". That is, how to beat the big boys (and girls) at their own game!

Many of you already have lots of experience in the corporate world, a variety of professional skills and maybe even an MBA. So, now you’re ready to climb the ladder of success and claim your key to the executive restroom and country club membership, right?!

Or, maybe not. Can you go toe-to-toe and win an argument with top level executives, bosses, and customers? If you can, you're on the right track and will have a good life. However, the rest of you need to come to PCC on November 13 and learn how.

Prof. Gil Chavez will lead an interactive discussion on the techniques of debate and argument that are commonly used in media interviews, such as:

- Properly framing the issue
- Escaping false dichotomies
- Destroying negative assumptions

These techniques are part of an executive’s training, but not commonly offered to middle managers and staff, but these techniques can help you argue and win every time!

Our discussion will include brief videos of media interviews that demonstrate the techniques and how they can be sued.

As always, please invite your friends and colleagues out for a fun and informative night at the Pink Cow. The location of the Cow has changed, but the burritos are still amazing!!

Entry: ¥2,000 *includes Burrito Bar.
