ONLY RSVP for number of dogs you are bringing (only ONE dog per person, so if you have two dogs you want to bring, you need two people).
This is a workshop (not a test) for those who want to work toward getting their dog's Canine Good Citizen certificate from the AKC. Any dog can work toward a CGC, even dogs not registered with the AKC.
More information on the test items for the CGC are on the AKC's website:
This workshop will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and will be an overview of the test items and how to train for each test item so that, after the workshop, you have a clear understanding of the CGC test and what you need to work on with your dog to pass the test in the near future.
Chako will be scheduling a CGC test in the near future for those who have taken the workshop.
Bring with you:
• Safe, secure equipment for your dog (the CGC does not allow prong, head, or no pull collars/harnesses, but you can use any equipment for training/workshop as long as it is secure; if you use a prong collar, it MUST be backed up to a regular collar or harness).
• Your dog's brush
• Your dog's proof of rabies vaccination (so dog's must be over 4 months to attend)
• Poop bags to pick up after your dog
• Water for you and your dog
