Dog Reactivity 4-week class

RSVP for dogs only.

You've asked, so we're offering! Our first 4-week class to learn how to manage your dog's reactivity or aggression toward other dogs. This class will be limited to a maximum of five students/dogs. No more than ONE dog per handler.

Week 1: No dogs, class discussion and orientation, approximately 1 - 1.5 hours. Bring a chair. We are outside, no bathroom access, so dress appropriately. Rain or shine.

Week 2-4: Bring your dogs, each class lasts one hour.

Rules of class:

• All dogs must be properly backed up. We will go over this during week 1 and have a limited number of six-way back up leashes for sale (you may also purchase them online at various retailers)

• Keep a 10 foot distance between dogs at all times unless an instructor tells you otherwise.

• Arrive to class about 10 minutes early and walk around (dogs backed up). There is a previous class before you, so please be respectful and of the previous class and wait until prior students have cleared out before approaching the actual class site.

• Clean up after your dog.

• Proof of Rabies vaccination required on week 1.

Thank you!

What will be different with this class compared to the basic obedience class?

This class is specifically for dogs that are reactive toward other dogs. It does not focus on teaching basic obedience. It focuses on teaching people to work with their dogs to make them behave around other dogs.
