The woman from "A Man and a Woman" (Anouk Aimee) meets the man from "2001: a Space Odyssey" (Gary Lockwood) in a film from the director of "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" (Jacques Demy).

In a recent episode of "Mad Men, Don's back at the movies, this time watching an American film by a French director. Though an obscure reference, the plot parallels Don's relationship with Megan: a guy (Gary Lockwood) is floundering, and unwilling to make life decisions, when he gets involved with a beautiful French woman (Anouk Aimee) who works in LA. “Model Shop” also has a breakup scene that’s eerily similar to Don and Megan’s, right down to the furniture. (Jacques Demy, 1969; 97 min)

    Hello, everyone!

I am so sorry. I just changed my reservation to "No."

This seemed like a wonderful choice for a picture but I am left to regretfully change my reservation merely because I am very tired this Sunday evening. I am still looking forward to tomorrow nights gathering to view Ingmar Bergman's "The Wild Strawberries," though and cannot wait to see everyone, there!
