First Night puppet making (for families)

Have you ever wondered how people get to march with the puppets in the First Night parade? This is how. There are two sessions, the one on Thursday evening (click here) being adult oriented and the other, this one, on Saturday morning (click here) being family oriented.

From the Cultural Arts Trust description of the family event:

Artist, Cheryl Capezzuti will help families make amazing creatures that will be featured in the Highmark First Night Pittsburgh Parade. Families will be lead through a creative process that will result in some really large-scale work. All work created in this workshop will be used in the Highmark First Night Pittsburgh parade.

BONUS: You can show up on New Year’s Eve and carry your puppet in the parade at 8:00! Don’t miss the fun in this workshop designed for all ages.

I am interested in being a volunteer if you need any, both for the workshop on Saturday and on New Year's Eve for last minute repairs, adjustments, and/or general organization. I've done crafts since I was a kid 50-some years ago, I've been a construction foreman (leadership) and I learn quickly. I'd also describe myself as multi-generation-friendly, I tend to have patience with kids, the elderly, and everyone in between.

If allowed to participate, I will do what I can to make your event(s) a success. Also, I promise to step back and be quiet when asked.
