Hello Pittsburgh vegan community! A brief introduction, I'm Chris from Boston, and I work as an Outreach Coordinator for one of the most effective non-profits in the animal rights movement, Vegan Outreach (veganoutreach.org). I'm currently touring the northeast U.S. & Canada visiting universities all over North America to leaflet (passing out pamphlets) and educate students about the cruelty of factory farming. This week I'm in Pittsburgh visiting several area schools, and wanted to post here to see if any locals might be interested in joining me. Whether you're a veteran activist or curious about dipping your toes into the world of activism for the first time, it's always nice to have a few extra hands on deck! Leafleting is one of the most simple and effective forms of activism you can engage in, it's super easy, anyone can do it, and I'd be happy to show any newbie activists how to go about doing so effectively!
MONDAY (tomorrow) 9/23/13 I will be leafletting at the University of Pittsburgh from approximately 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM (most likely will finish earlier). If you are interested in joining me, please contact me via email at [masked] with "9/23 U Pitt Volunteer" as the subject line! Thanks!
