We have added about 20 new members in the new year and it has been way too long since our last potluck. February is already pretty full with snow tubing and bowling, but we're going to squeeze in a potluck anyway. Potlucks are a great place to get to know each other, without all the constraints of a restaurant setting. We'll also have all of our girls that weekend, children are always welcome.
Group potlucks are always 100% vegan. I know some of you are not vegan and some are very new to vegan eating, so I'll clarify. In addition to the obvious no meat, fish or fowl, also no eggs, dairy products or honey. If you're using packaged foods, look out for hidden ingredients such as gelatin and whey. Feel free to email me if you have any ingredients questions.
Nate had a great suggestion about bringing an ingredients list for the dishes you make. That works for folks with allergies as well, who are concerned about more than just if it's vegan. People are always requesting recipes for potluck dishes too, so if you're already writing out the ingredients, maybe just make it a recipe card? I'll leave that up to you though.
Bring any vegan thing and we'll get to know each other.
