I was once a vegetarian for about 13 years. Then incorporated fish into my diet. Then I got into macrobiotic eating. Now I guess you could call me a locovore. I eat mostly a vegetarian diet, with exceptions.
I haven't been in Pittsburgh long enough to find one! Any recommendations? I used to live in San Francisco, where my favorite vegan restaurant was the Millennium. Sooooo Gooood. I have their cookbook, but I can rarely find all the right ingredients!
NO. My brother's girlfriend is really a vegan. And she grows and dries her own legumes, which I find impressive!

I'm hoping to meet nice people and get to know Pittsburgh better by eating out and about a couple of times a month.
I am a grad student/puppeteer/teacher/sometime vegetarian and I'm always looking for occasions to dine with people. I love cooking and gardening and canning stuff, so this seems like a nice group to meet people who also enjoy healthy food!
