Hi everyone. Now that spring is upon us, let's head to the North Shore for a sunrise shoot along the Allegheny River. The sunrise will be at 7:16, but it is always a good idea to start shooting before that time. The long-range forecast for the 24th does not show rain, but it does say that it will be partly cloudy. As always with planning a sunrise shoot, you're never sure what the conditions will be like. Hopefully, there will be some clouds to add interest, but not too many to make it a dud.
We will meet in front of the Arconic/Alcoa building. This is a popular location for capturing the city between the Andy Warhol Bridge and the Rachel Carson Bridge. As an added bonus, this is also where there are colorful trees that are blooming at this time. I have not been there yet this year, but I have already seen many photos on social media of the trees. Hopefully they will still be worthy of shooting on the 24th. Also, this area is an active trail, so keep an eye out for runners and bikers when moving about.
We can shoot a bit at this location and then move on to other spots based on the desires of the group. If you cannot make it this early but still want to participate, just update your status in the comments or chat on the day of the event. Street parking on Sunday is free, and in the past, I have parked on Isabella Street between Sandusky and Federal Streets. Thanks.
