Portrait Lighting Workshop

  • November 17, 2012 · 12:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

I have been asked on different occasions by some members to hold a basic lighting class. I will show some basic lighting patterns that anyone can achieve with some basic equipment. I will use professional softboxes and lights and show how to get the same results using things you can by at a hardware store. I will also answer any questions about lighting and if we have the time we can do some shooting.

Date and time are set. Saturday, Nov. 17th at 12:00. We have the room for three hours so please be on time. We are renting space in a church, so a $10.00 would be appreciated. Also, if you signed up, please try to make it or change your RSVP to NO

Outstanding job John! This is a subject worthy of an entire semester at college, so as tough as it is to try to fit it into a few hours I think you did a commendable job and I hope it inspires others to use it a starting point in their continuing education.

We will be in Room 15. There will be someone in the lobby, to
    direct us, to the room.

The group that can be accommodated has been increased since John was able to rent a larger room at the church. It would be very helpful if everyone would donate $10 toward the rental fee on the day of the workshop. Thanks!

John closed the RSVP's at 36 in his note below not but did not limit the actual RSVPs to the Meetup on the right hand side. I made the adjustment to the actual list of attendees and implemented a waiting list. If you are NOT going please change your RSVP so someone on the waiting list can go instead. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for signing up for this class. Unfortunately, I have to close enrollment at this time. The room we are using is going to be crowded enough with all the equipment that I am bringing that I think we have reached our limit. Because of the interest and if it is well reviewed, I will do this again after the Holidays. As it stands now, I will close the class at 36 attendees.

Thanks for setting this up. I'll be there. I'm not going to RSVP as I will help so I don't want to take up someone else's spot.

Ok everybody, the date and time are as follows; Saturday, Nov 17th. Time: 12:00 to 3:00. Because this is being held at a church and they are kind enough to allow us there, a donation of $5.00 to $10.00 would be appriciated. Also, because of the size of the room, I am closing class size at 35 people. Ther is a lot to cover in a short period of time so please be on time. And, if you signed up,please show up.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
