First we let you know about Vancouver's Largest Waterfight. And of course you went to that! Who wouldn't??? Water, guns, serious wetness and frivolity were to be had! It was great!

Then we gave you another great game of tag. We just couldn't help it. And now you're thinking "That can't be all, can it? I want more!" Well buttercup, have we got more for YOU!!! First, coming up is this:

A "Water Fight / Capture the Flag / ESV Olympics" through th Extremely Shy Group. We're not a part of it but it's another heads up. So head on over to their page and sign up. More water wetness!

And after that come back to us becauuuuuuuse it's the event you've been waiting for since last year! (Oh, don't try and be cool by pretending not to be excited. I can hear your heart a-thumpin' from here.)

Yes, it's... it's... IT'S... (wait for it, waaaait for it!) IT'S BEACH TAG TIME AGAIN!!!!! Yes, MORE wetness and frivolity! IT JUST DOESN'T STOP! We're not gonna let summer go without a fight. Because we're waaaaaay too cool!

Freeze tag is on the menu. Going to try President and Bodyguard. Human Foosball anyone? Maybe a little Chuck The Chicken (or should it be Drown The little ---BLEEEEEEP---???) How about races were you get dizzy and fall down? That's soooooo entertaining to watch...

Anyhow, here's a link to last year's beach tag:

Now that you've been informed, you've already signed up, right? Right?? If not, you've got issues! But don't worry we'll fix them at BEACH TAG! Win win, baby, win win.

But maybe you're still not sure. Well how about this? It's on a Saturday. Did you miss that? Okay, let's repeat that. IT'S ON A SATURDAY!!! Wooooooeeeeeee, we are too good to you! (That's why we're so awesome.) Now you have absolutely no excuse not to go.

What do you need? Smiles, a bathing suit or other suitable water absorbing material, a towel (or other suitable water absorbing material), possibly sandals, and the expectation of having a great time. Nothing more than that. Oops sorry, also a twoonie to donate towards keeping this great meetup going.

Now for the standard stuff.

The FUN! begins at 2:00 p.m. rain or shine (you're going to get wet anyway!). Shoes or no shoes. Wear your play clothes or beachwear; mud stains are inevitable and are worn as a badge of honour. Expect to tease and be teased, run, jump and possibly slide! Laughter, sweat, grass stains (This one might be tough to do. But if you can get grass stains from the ocean you automatically get the trophy! ...uh, maybe...) and breathlessness are common side effects – though a well deserved euphoria kicks in eventually too. Hope to see you there!

1:45 Mix and mingle and set up the field
2:00 Let the games begin!
4:00 Wrap it up.

Be aware that playing tag at the beach requires a whole lotta fast moves in every direction! And possibly inhaling water! Yessssss. The fun you're having can distract you from realizing the demand on your body. Be mindful of your limits; we do not have a first aid attendant at the event. Please come prepared with anything you may need to mend yourself.

There we have it. Time to wrestle summer to the ground and hold it there before it disappears on us. See you all there!

There is transit, C19 to the Spanish Banks Loop from UBC or from West Broadway and Alma.

With just three people we had a blast!!!! Even invented a new game! Triball (and it's scalable)! The weather was really good, the water was warm and the tide was out (ankle deep where we were playing). We took pictures of each other getting wet and having fun. Playing in the water changes a lot of things. Especially playing 'What Time Is It Mr. Wolf?' It's hard to be sneaky when you're splashing around and trying not to fall down. Getting to Spanish Banks it was raining but then what difference did it make? We were getting wet anyway! Thanks Chris and Rhonda for coming out and making it a great time. Great and exhausting...

Completely awesome, even with just the three of us. Thanks, Keith, for organising. It is indeed amazing what a difference a couple of inches of water can make.

I was a t the beach on Saturday. The water is still nice enough to swim in. As well, I've cross posted the event at the Extremely Shy - Looking For Friends group. This will be a good one!
