New Meetup: Round Two: Challenge The Claw!

Announcing a new Meetup for Tag! You're it! Vancouver!

What: Round Two: Challenge The Claw!

When: August 11,[masked]:00 PM

Price: CAD1.00 per person

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: The games we play are pretty organic in nature. The group figured out that starting with the basics, then negotiating added bonuses and handicaps works best. Making new rules up as we go along adds to the fun and in some cases, creates an entirely new game.

Tag is a surprisingly good workout. Lots of burst of speed and multi-directional avoidance maneuvers really gets the heart rate pumping! Be prepared for a few breathless moments if you haven?t been active like Frank (aka: Deak). The rest of us were gasping at times ? and loving it :)

Ideally, each participant will arrive knowing how to play atleast one game and be able to teach it to the group. I'll come prepared with enough to keep us going if necessary - but it's always more fun when more than my brain is used!

5:45 Mix and mingle (good for sussing out the competition)
6:00 Brief introductions (feel free to use a pseudonym)
6:05 Let the games begin! (play until we're done)

What you need:
Clothes you can sweat in.
Shoes you can run in (quick stop-start essential).
Snacks (good enough for trading).
Lots of water (juice if you're a fancy-pants).

We meet in public spaces. Please RSVP if you would like to play.
With respect, our groups are limited to 30 people so as not to be park-hogs.

Please leave valuables at home or in your car. No point in tempting thieves.
We'll be running around and entirely distracted from keeping an eye on our belongings.

An effort is made to choose locations that are bike/bus friendly.
Car-pooling? Please post in the comments section if you need or can give a ride.

Some of the places we meet are dog-friendly. We love good dogs. Please use sound judgment when deciding to bring yours: growling, whining and barking dogs are a drag.

This group is intended for adults (19+). We have no age cap; elders are welcome.
If you would like to bring someone under 19 to the games, please email Anah.
