A PAG Member is a person who believes that play can help their child grow to their fullest potential. Play is a child's job and we want to give them ample opportunity to gain "work experience." Playing and interacting with other children helps them grow as individuals and as part of a community. Moms and dads also need a place to share the joys of parenthood and their ideas and philosophies. We don't follow any single parenting style - all opinions are respected in an atmosphere of sharing and growth. We also just want to have some fun!
Since we have a variety of ages in this group, it is important to pay attention to age guidelines for in-home playdates. Those designed for our younger children will remain restricted to younger children, primarily for safety reasons. Likewise, playdates designed for older children will only have older children. If a playdate is described as multi-age, it may have children of any age, but if the age is specified please make sure to adhere to the age restrictions. If you host in your home, you’ll have the choice of what age groups you’d like to host.
We invite both mothers and fathers to participate in our activities. However, the in-home playdates for the time being will remain mothers only. This is for the comfort of the families in Play and Grow. Don’t worry, dads: we have plenty of events at public venues. We also have Mothers' Nights In/Out events to cultivate lasting friendships in the spirit of motherhood. Sometimes we have family events, and dads are welcome to plan some nights out, too.
We have Mothers' Nights In/Out events to cultivate lasting friendships among our members. Moms-to-be are welcome to join, as well! Our playgroup serves the general area of NE San Antonio, around 1604 / IH-35 area, and the cities of Cibolo, Converse, Live Oak, Schertz, Universal City, etc. Please make sure one of your profile pictures is of yourself, for identification purposes.
We do not charge any monetary dues, although donations are always appreciated, no matter how small! You pay your dues by remaining active in the group.
