6.15 From Retro Gaming to Indie Gaming Pete Baron's gaming career stretches from 8-bit Commodore 64 hits Myth and Salamander to today's online and mobile gaming. Pete will talk about how the games industry has changed - and come full circle - including how cultural shifts and mobile have opened games up to the masses.
Making a Bible Game that Doesn't Suck How would you create a serious game that teaches the bible and Christian values without preaching or being off-putingly evangelistic? Brook and Tim from 2nd City Studios will talk about how one Christian trust has embraced gaming, their gaming strategy, some of the game design choices, and how to balance the learning and the fun. They'll show concept art for the allegorical fantasy world they have designed.
