Rabbit Hole (2005) by David Lindsay-Abaire

[Good news - we are able to use the usual ACT costume shop kitchen after all.]

"A story of loss, heartbreak, and forgiveness—told through daily moments and emotional hurdles—as a family moves on after the accidental death of their four-year-old."

I have not seen or read this play, or any other work by Abaire. However, it won the Pulitzer Prize in 2007, so let's give it a try.

Script is available in the More -> Files section of this group. You must be logged into Meetup in order to view the web page.

I liked your comments, Pat Wallace.
To me, Rabbit Hole is excellent, lean, deceptively simple writing, yet powerful through many themes and levels of emotion. All this and humor besides made it such fun to read. It played so well. I loved doing it!

The play was funny and poignant at turns. Would like to do an analysis of it to discern the dramatic arc. Subtext really drives this play.

I signed up, I just realised I will not be able to attend this Monday. Thank you.

Hello Jane Laura, Is what you found at the library a script? Or is it in a collection of plays in which the works are abridged. The latter is the only one I discovered at libraries, so I downloaded the script instead. Just a heads-up for you in case, in your surprised state at finding a copy, you may have overlooked just what you have. Good on you if I am wrong!

Incredibly, I found a copy of the play in the main public library! Looking forward to Monday.

Following up on my last note, I see we will be at the ACT Costume Shop after all, so I will take BART instead of driving, as I would to your home. See you then.

Hey John, I have RSVPed Yes, I have downloaded and printed the play, I have worked out the directions to your house, but I do not have the address. I cannot figure out how to get it. Could you please send it to me? [masked]
    Thanks
