Let's read the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas' loving and hilarious "play for voices" , finished just before his death in 1954. Over the course of one spring day we meet thirty-six or more of the the townspeople, each vividly described in the course of the action.
The play begins with dreams and ghosts before dawn, moves through the brilliant , noisy day of the townspeople, and closes as the "rain of dusk brings brings on the bawdy night".
Two narrative "voices" describe the sights, sounds and action.
The script is available under the FILES tab at the top of the main Playreading Meetup web page. You need to be logged in to Meetup in order to download the script.
Please keep your RSVP current if your plans change.
